Privacy Policy
Effective February 23, 2026
StatMoose ("we", "us", "the platform") provides sports statistics, live game tracking, and broadcast tools for schools, leagues, coaches, and fans. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
You give us
- Account data — name, email, username, password (hashed), profile photo, optional security-question answers.
- Team & game data — team names, rosters, jersey numbers, coach notes, scheduled games, statistics, play-by-play entries, uploaded logos or screenshots.
- Billing data — payment method (handled by Stripe, we never see the full card number), billing address, subscription selections, coupon codes.
- Chat & broadcast content — messages you post inside Team App threads.
We collect automatically
- Device & usage — device model, OS version, app version, IP address, log timestamps, feature usage (e.g. which tracker you opened).
- Push tokens — APNs (iOS) / FCM (Android) tokens used to deliver notifications. Removed when you disable notifications or delete the app.
- Cookies & local storage — session token, feature preferences, offline-queued stats (Go trackers cache your entries locally so you don't lose data on a bad connection).
2. How we use it
- Run the service (authenticate you, save your teams, sync stats live).
- Bill subscriptions and process one-time purchases through Stripe.
- Send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, game-share invites) via Resend.
- Deliver push notifications you opted in to.
- Improve reliability, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
3. Third parties we share with
- Stripe, Inc. — payment processing & subscription billing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Google (Firebase) — push notifications on Android and analytics of crash reports.
- Apple Inc. — push notifications on iOS via APNs and Sign In with Apple identity tokens.
- Google Sign-In / OAuth — identity verification when you choose that sign-in option.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Cloud hosting — Emergent Labs / MongoDB Atlas for infrastructure & data storage in the United States.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
4. Public-facing content
Some information is designed to be public: team pages you publish, live-stats URLs you share, public box scores, and school broadcast pages. If you don't want a specific team or game to be publicly visible, keep it private in the game settings.
5. Children
StatMoose collects rosters of student-athletes solely for statistical purposes and only as directed by the coach, school, or league who entered them. We do not knowingly market to children under 13. Parents or guardians who want a minor's data removed can email info@statmoose.com.
6. Retention
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account (see below), we anonymize your profile immediately and preserve only the game/team artifacts other users may still reference (public box scores, shared widgets). Financial records required by tax law are retained for up to 7 years.
7. Your rights
- Access & correction — edit your profile at Account Settings.
- Deletion — delete your account in-app under Account Settings → Danger Zone, or follow the steps at Data Deletion.
- Export — request a copy of your data by emailing us; we respond within 30 days.
- Opt out of push — turn off notifications in your device settings at any time.
If you are a resident of California (CCPA/CPRA), the EU/UK (GDPR), or another jurisdiction with data-protection laws, you have additional rights including the right to know what we hold about you and to request its correction or deletion. Reach out to us and we will honor those rights.
8. Security
We hash passwords with bcrypt, use HTTPS/TLS for all traffic, and never store raw payment card numbers. No system is perfectly secure; if we experience a breach that affects your data, we will notify you promptly as required by applicable law.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we will update the "Effective" date at the top and, where required by law, notify you by email or in-app banner. Continuing to use StatMoose after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
