Terms of Service

Welcome to StatMoose. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and StatMoose regarding your use of our websites, mobile apps (including "StatMoose Go"), and services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are creating rosters or accounts on behalf of a school, league, or team, you represent that you have the authority to do so. Keep your credentials confidential — you are responsible for all activity on your account.

2. Subscriptions & billing

• Plans. StatMoose offers a free Bronze tier and paid Silver, Gold, and Stats-Only tiers billed monthly or annually.
• Trials. If we offer a free trial, you will be charged the plan's regular price at the end of the trial unless you cancel before the trial ends.
• Auto-renewal. Paid subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until you cancel.
• Cancellation. You can cancel any time under Account Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access to paid features until then.
• Refunds. Payments are non-refundable except where required by law. Contact info@statmoose.com if you believe you were incorrectly charged.
• Price changes. We may adjust pricing with at least 30 days' notice; you can cancel before the change takes effect.
• Purchases via Apple / Google. If you subscribed through the App Store or Play Store, those stores handle billing and their refund policies apply.

3. Your content

You own the teams, rosters, stats, media, and chat messages you submit ("Your Content"). You grant StatMoose a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, and display Your Content to run the Service (including publishing to the URLs you choose to make public).

4. Acceptable use & Team Chat conduct

By using StatMoose you agree not to:

• Post content that is threatening, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, defamatory, or otherwise unlawful.
• Impersonate a coach, official, or team without authorization.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the Service.
• Use the Service to violate the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party (including student-athletes).
• Upload malware or attempt to bypass authentication.

We may remove content, suspend accounts, or terminate access for violations. Team App chat features are moderated — flagged messages are reviewed and may be hidden or removed.

5. Intellectual property

The StatMoose name, logo, moose mark, and the underlying software are owned by us or our licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you a right to use those marks except as displayed in the Service.

6. Third-party services

Some features rely on third parties (Stripe for payments, Apple & Google for sign-in and push notifications, video providers for embeds). Your use of those features is subject to their terms and policies as well as ours.

7. Disclaimers

StatMoose is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or availability. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StatMoose and its officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, even if advised of the possibility. Our total liability arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the greater of USD $50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless StatMoose from any claim or demand (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.

10. Termination

You may close your account any time from Account Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law, or where required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (IP, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, dispute resolution) do so.

11. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, on an individual basis (no class actions), except that either party may bring a claim in small-claims court. If the arbitration provision is unenforceable, exclusive jurisdiction lies in the state and federal courts located in Delaware.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you by email or in-app banner at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
